Adithi Muralidhar
Adithi Muralidhar holds a Masters degree in Zoology with a specialization in Environmental Sciences. She worked as a Zoology lecturer for a while, before she got involved in several science education projects. Her love for nature has taken her across the length and breadth of India, working with various local and national organizations, state forest departments, NGOs and initiatives. Her volunteering has included radio-tracking King Cobras, carrying out transect-surveys to estimate Tiger-prey population, photo-documentation of herpetofauna, bird-surveys, plateau surveys, education projects etc.
Her main interests lie in conservation education. In this regard, she has published a number of popular articles and children’s stories; online and print, on various green-themes. She is a guest lecturer at several colleges in Mumbai where she addresses hundreds of youngsters on conservation and sustainability. In 2009, she received the ‘Young Green Warrior Award’ from Symbiosis International University. Adithi has a keen interest in socio-cultural issues, and understanding the dynamics of society and environment.
