Atul Arun Sinai Borker
Atul is working with the Mhadei Research Center on wildlife conservation research projects and is based in Goa. After having graduated as a Mechanical Engineer, he worked in a multinational software company for over 6 years. While working in the software industry he spent most of his spare time by photographing and filming wildlife around the human dominated areas. He is the founder of a wildlife documentation website www.wildabs.com which was created with a vision of documenting wildlife and sharing it with the masses.
As wildlife conservation was his priority, he chose to make a professional switch into wildlife documentation and conservation research. He has been working on photo documenting small mammals of Goa, a project undertaken by the Mhadei Research Center and is funded by the Goa Forest Department. As a part of the project, he has been travelling across the state studying mammal trails, analyzing scats, doing camera trapping and photographing them from the hide. The objective here is to come up with a pocket size field guide to help identify the various small mammals present within the state. He is also working on documenting big cat worship in Goa under the guidance of Dr. Vidya Athreya. Animal behavior interests him and he spends a lot of time in the hide observing wildlife.
